What does "Trinitario" mean?

Trinitario cacao is a hybrid variety of cacao that was developed in Trinidad in the mid-18th century by crossbreeding the criollo and forastero varieties. It is now widely cultivated throughout the Caribbean, Central and South America, and parts of Africa, and accounts for around 10% of the world’s cocoa production.
